We are so excited about this new iteration of Johnson Legacy Inc (JLI) in which we will be making online courses available to the public. Jacquelyn E Benton, President of JLI and recently retired professor in the Africana Studies Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver has been crafting intensive courses that will focus on Great Britain and the slave trade as the first leg of digital instruction. Part of JLI’s mission is to drill down into history and be willful about remembrance. History is a remarkable teacher. And we have devoted ourselves as an organization to shed light on elements of history that are largely unlit.
